VETERANS DAY

Sunday was cold and windy. The sun was out. We made our way to where my Dad now rests, then on to where my nephew lies.

All of our veterans, past and present, have given so much. We need to teach younger people that the things we have are not free. That our rights are not free. That you have to work for what you want. That we all should help one another.

We all are connected in one way or another. Our country is still the best place to be. We can do what it takes to keep us great. Maybe, not in my lifetime, or my son's lifetime, but it is doable.

So, let's pass the word. Talk to younger people. Tell them your stories of service. Let them know what it was and is like to serve in the military. Explain to them what our flag stands for and what it means to you.

Our veterans, I'm sure, would like future generations to know.

To our veterans of today, I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
